You are smart, technically excellent and are passionate about backend systems, databases and extracting insights from data You enjoy connecting the dots in complex domains and care about data quality You have a drive to make the healthcare industry better You have a distinct mastery of Java The impact you will have:
You will be responsible for building and maintaining modern data pipelines that make data available and accessible to the entire company. The team works closely with Data scientists, Product Managers, Business analysts and other key parts of the business to understand their data requirements and build appropriate solutions and platforms. You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable and fault tolerant microservices to enable a real time streaming platform. You would understand the right patterns of breaking up a problem domain into communicating microservices architecture. As a Staff Engineer you will lead by example, build a culture of technical excellence within the team. You will act as a tech lead for a small team of Software Engineers and take ownership over the quality of deliverables and future roadmap You will be expected to gain expert understanding of our complex domain model. You will be encouraged to come up with strategies to simplify our models, identify and fix data redundancies and inconsistencies. What you bring to the table:

years of server side Software Engineering 5
years of experience building ETL pipelines 5
years of experience with Java (bonus points for an equivalent mastery of Python) 5
years of experience with databases - both SQL and noSQL 3
years acting as a Tech lead for a team of 3
engineers Experience with technologies like Cassandra, Kafka, Hbase, Hive, Parquet, Impala, Presto, Redshift, Bigquery is nice to have Experience in converting business requirements into technical designs We recognize that people come with experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job. $100K -- $150K
